Barbie Themed Activities for Toddlers

The New Barbie Movie just came out and it is the only thing on ALL of our minds! So, there was no question when it came time to plan my toddler's preschool activities for the week- we are doing barbie inspired activities!

These activities turned out so cute and I cannot wait to share them with you! They would be PERFECT for a little girl's (or boy's!) birthday party.

1. Paint Barbie's Nails

This activity is so simple to set up and was probably the favorite activity for my toddler class. Simply trace your hand, draw on some nails an give your toddler some paint! They loved painting the "nails" so much, they decided Barbie's whole hand needed some more color too (;

2. Find Barbie's Shoe

This activity was a blast. And if you have a shoe, you can do it!

To play this game, gather several of your shoes together in a pile. Hide one shoe from each of the pairs you gathered together. After you finish hiding one shoe from each pair, hold up the other shoe and ask your toddler to find its match.

This activity is a little challenging because your toddler has to find the right shoe! So, it is like a game of memory, but on a much bigger scale!

I didn't get a great picture of this activity, because we were having so much fun and the kids were so excited to run around and look for the matching shoes.

3. B is for Barbie Sensory Bin

Give your toddler a sensory bin with rice, and you will be their favorite person! Inevitably, rice will be spilt, but clean up is so fast and easy and for an hour of entertainment, it is worth it!

We love a good rice bin, and when you add ice cream cone toys, this sensory bin can't be beat! To take it the extra mile, we added B stickers, B letter beads, B magnets and B foam letters to this bin to familiarize ourselves with the letter B!

4. Get Barbie Ready for Her Premier

I think these Barbie designers are really on to something here!

This activity is super simple and only requires a printer and the art materials you have in your house! ALL of the art materials you have! The materials you might not pull out very often- feathers, jewels, dot markers, construction paper, all of it! Give your toddler a glue stick and all of the art materials and let them be creative and design Barbie's infamous look.

5. [You're Child's Name] Barbie Photoshoot

We made this super cute frame from poster board! I printed the 'Barbie' logo on two pieces of paper, cut them and pieced them together. Added some images from Canva (text, disco ball, heart and balloon dog). The balloon garland is from Walmart and was soooo easy to string together!

I captured some of the cutest pictures of all of the toddler barbies that came to party with us and is something I definitely plan on doing again!

I know this isn't the most elaborate blog, even for me, but I think that is the beauty of these activities. You don't have to do anything elaborate to have a great time and do something memorable with your child!

I hope this gives you a few ideas for simple activities you can do with your toddler to spend quality time together.
